On July 3rd, Austrian Post CEO Georg Pölzl and his delegation visited Shanghai. They were warmly received by the leaders and business heads of China Post Group Corporation, China Post Group Shanghai Branch, China Post Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Ule Network Technology Co., Ltd. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as cross-border e-commerce, express logistics industry development, and postal logistics technology innovation.

Austrian Post, with a history of over 500 years, processed approximately 475 million parcels in 2023, including a record 200 million domestic parcels.

During the meeting, China Post Technology provided an overview of the company, developments in postal logistics technology, industry case studies, and potential future cooperation directions. After the meeting, the Austrian Post delegation visited the Shanghai Taopu Processing Center. This center, constructed by China Post Technology in 2022, is a large-scale automation project designed for mixed import and export operations. It includes functions for Shanghai express export, Shanghai western express parcels, express import, and an aviation center mail processing.

Following the meeting, the Austrian Post delegation visited the Taopu Processing Center in Shanghai. The center, a large-scale automation project undertaken by China Post Technology in 2022, is designed for mixed operations of import and export modules, including Shanghai Express Export, Shanghai West Express Parcels, Express Imports, and Air Mail Processing functions.

The Taopu Processing Center spans two floors with a production area of 14,000 square meters. China Post Technology planned and implemented advanced automated matrix sorting systems and unmanned feeding systems, reducing the number of sorting and feeding workstations by 20 and improving efficiency by over 50%. The center's peak daily processing volume reaches 1.72 million items. Notably, China Post Technology's hybrid sorter, with its proprietary intellectual property, excels in handling aviation express documents, with a processing capacity of up to 20,000 items per hour.

The Austrian Post delegation showed great interest in China Post Technology's advanced and efficient processing equipment, and highly recognized the on-site automation equipment and the degree of unmanned operation.
